think USA and allies should get out of the current situation over there?(give reasons)
i say we should stay, doing a fine job. its the negative media that makes everyone look bad thats in there at the moment, aka focusing on FF incidents,making everyone a "bad guy", and making certain claims thats are horribly wrong (CONSPIRACIES!!!)......if you compare the power of certain terrorist organizations from before we went in, and compare them to their current place...theres a huuuge shift in certain aspects. If we do get out of there, the civil war that was in full effect before we "invaded" will just start up again. |

I agree with everything you say. Most experts, and that is by no means including politicians, believe that if we pull out now they would fall into a Civil War which would most likely end in a regime not unlike what Iran has now, which is no good for our interests.
After WWII we spent decades in Europe and in Japan. People died during that time period. It just was not reported on your tv, and in color, on a daily basis.
Additionally, despite all the deaths brought to you on a nightly basis in the news, less military deaths occur annually now than during the previous regime.....not sure but I think I posted these numbers here a few weeks ago. This is amazing, but true.
And the upside to staying in Iraq is it will give us a permanent military presence to respond to any future 9/11 type of attacks, swiftly and probably more efficiently.
