Michigan
the newest Real Clear Politics Poll Average
Romney +2.7 (Romney 29%, McCain 26.3%, Huckabee 16.3%)
Reuters has McCain +1.0
America Research Group has McCain +1.0 (two days ago ARG had McCain +8)
Detroit Free Press has Romney +5.0
Mason-Dixon has Romney +8.0
since New Hampsire Romney has spent 2 million dollars on ADs in Detroit
on his first day back to Detriot after NH he had a phone bank which raise 5.0 million
heck Mitt might win this thing after all. _________________ If winning isn't everything, why the hell do they keep score? ~ VL |

with 86% reporting
Romney 303,146 39%
McCain 231,487 30%
not only is Romney closing on a fat 10% win
it does not look like Mike Huckabee is going to pull a high enough % to get any delegates out of Michigan _________________ If winning isn't everything, why the hell do they keep score? ~ VL |

some breakdowns from the HUGE Romney win in Michigan could tell us a tale of whats to come
Romney won conservatives 41-23%, with 20% for Huckabee.
Romney won Republicans 41-27%.
Romney won Evangelicals 34-29% for Huckabee. McCain took just 23%.
Romney’s margins were strongest in the Detroit suburbs, with 46% of the vote in Oakland & Macomb Counties.
McCain won Democrats 41-33%.
McCain won pro-choice voters 39-35%.
He won among those who never attend church by 11 points — 39-28.
The “architect of the surge” won with Iraq war disapprovers 36-29.
Worth noting is...
the MORMON Romney beat the BAPTIST preacher Huckabee in the evangelical community. A VERY BAD thing for Huckabee
McCain ONLY won with people that are left of the GoP base. An indication that the straight GoP primaries to come are not going to be kind to Sen. McCain.
I think it should be noted also that McCain is trying to spin this as a win for the home town boy not a loss for him. Suggesting people voted for Mitt because of George Romney. However the voters old enough to remember the other Governor Romney were won by McCain.
McCain won voters over 65 by 39-38%.
The Romney train might be about to start rolling. _________________ If winning isn't everything, why the hell do they keep score? ~ VL |

as the GoP world turns it's focus to South Carolina
I wanted to provide a little poll history
October 2nd Thompson was up +5.0 in SC
since the other canidates have trade the lead with their highest listed below
Giuliani +6.0
Romney +2.0
Huckabee +17.0
McCain +9.0
Basically the state has been WIDE OPEN. _________________ If winning isn't everything, why the hell do they keep score? ~ VL |

CAN YOU WELL EDUCATED, WELL INFORMED VOTERS (this means you Sylvia) answer the following questions? Is this somebody you would vote for if you had the chance?
There are only six questions:
So take a small piece of paper and write 1 thru 6 down the left side:
Write your answer next to each of the six questions
and don't look at the answers at the end till you have finished...
Answers are at the end.
Good Luck !!!

Typical liberal....when the truth is exposed, you hide from it.
I am sorry, is that being rude or is that bullying? I get them confused from time to time. _________________

Hmmm.... how about rude AND bullying! The rudeness from your lack of respect for your opponents and the bullying from your persistence. Bullies are masters of repeat visits.
Just to clear things up a bit, I won't be voting for Hillary if she gets the nomination. I think she'd do ANYTHING to get elected and I don't intend to vote for another royal line. You don't know me. You couldn't figure out who I'd vote for if I told you. You don't know my stances on abortion, the death penalty, the right to bear arms, or states rights, all of which are more in line with the right than the left. You didn't bother to notice that I hadn't bought the liberal line on global warming, but come up with one on my own. All you could see was that the conclusion wasn't in agreement with you, making me the enemy, worthy of disrespect.
Did you honestly think that by impugning my education, telling me to take a Midol, labeling me Ms. Sensitivity, saying my panties are in a bunch, telling me my head is in the sand, and *gasp* calling me liberal, that I would ever want contact with you again? I've had my fair share of bullies in my lifetime. Dealt with two of them for three years each. And there's something I've discovered about bullies. They like to beat on sensitive women with strength. They like knowing that their blows hurt and they like an opponent that won't submit meekly to them. They beat and beat until their opponent submits. And they're in love with the woman that they beat. But I'll be darned if I'm going to repeat those six years of elementary and junior high. So, you win Clarke! I won't be replying to you again and won't be reading any more of your posts. You're going to have to find another woman to beat, another woman that will stand up to you and another woman to fantasize about. |

Fantacize? Sorry, haven't reached that part of my marriage yet where I fantacize about other women.
As for beating on sensitive, strong women....sorry, that's my wife....and I never beat on her.....and she is sensitive and strong and has an intelligent opinion that she can back up with reasons for her opinion. And it does not necessarily agree with mine all the time.
The reason I don't know who you are voting for or your beliefs is because you have not offered anything. As for the global warming crap, you have not offered anything other than the liberal b.s. that is out there, so don't tell me your stance is different.
So lighten up. This is not bullying. This is conversation. But because a bunch of us came on here with similar opinions, you feel threatened......well boo frickin hoo.
I am neither ignorant nor a bully. I am just somebody that will stand up and say what I believe and will offer arguments that back it up. Sorry if that is too much for you to handle objectively.
