| I cut the lawns and rake the leaves every once in a while  . Oh but my uncle does love plants, flowers, and trees like no other guy I know =P but he is married and has 2 kids so it's all good. When I was younger I would always go with my mom to look at plants at this huge outdoor plant place it was a great place to get some fresh air =P and run around in. |

Okay, this last post, then I shall make my way back to Autumn Thunder....you have a nice site here by the way.....just need my football.
I love my vegetable garden. The flower garden looks nice, though I don't have it set up yet.....my old house I had something blooming basically from early March until early November (actually, every month, but that was only because we had some unseasonably warm winters in 03, 04, and 05), but I have not had the time since we moved 16 months ago to make the flower gardens into what they should be yet.
But my tomatoe plants are huge and any day now I should have plenty to harvest (have grape tomatoes, roma, beefeaters - which I don't like, but everybody else does, and some yellow tomatoes, which I have never grown before, but I am looking forward to making a yellow tomatoe sauce perhaps); Squash and zucchini are abundant, onions almost gone, peas are gone, as are the radishes, and my corn is about 5 to 7 feet high with 2 ears each....that is what I am waiting on. Love my silver queen and my shoepeg corn. Have 3 types of white, though I cannot tell you the 3rd....can't remember.
The only thing that is not looking healthy is my peppers, in either garden (I also have a melon/pumpkin patch which I threw a few hot peppers in). They are big. They are flowering. They are just not producing peppers. Don't know what is going on. Also, the carrots were an abysmal failure. Think the soil is too clayey (first time Ihave had a garden in this spot in 18 years, since I moved out of my parents home, and back then I did not know anything about the soil - now my family and I live 3 doors down from them and I took over my parents yard for my garden since I have too much shade on my property....so my parents get free vegetables from an area of the property they have not used for years and years and years). _________________
