other, as in, Fast food....the fastest food I care to have is Applebees.....
Anything like Mcdonalds, Wendys, Sonic, BurgerKing, Taco Bell, Taco Place, Long John Silvers, Subway, Goodcents, Back Yard Burger, Dairy Queen, (MAN! You left out a lot, Nick!), is just yuckkkkkkkk......
except for Mcdonalds Fries and Sonics Onion Rings, and DQ ice cream...which I DO like,.....

OK, OK, I'll grant that it's a faster than normal deli in terms of service time. However, I find the food quality to be up there with the average deli. It's certainly not a high-end deli, but I've been to bona-fide delis with far worse ingredient quality. I'd say Subway price is about on-par with other delis as well.
So, shall we define fast food as 'fast service food,' 'cheap food,' or 'low quality food'? I tend to require all three to define a restaurant as fast food. But Subway definitely qualifies as 'fast service food.' But ingredient quality is too good for me to sully the name of Subway with the label 'fast food.' :-)
Ahhhh, I love totally pointless conversations in which we can argue over meaningless details. This is truly the stuff of science. We geeks argue each other to death about the chicken and the egg. |
