Actually, 1 guy had the answer and the question, but was erased from existance....you are not allowed to know the answer and the question, just one or the other, that was the end result.

eh i kinda liked that book, where he finds out he crash lands on some planet and is the sole survivor and finds out he has a daughter and then the earth is totaly destroyed for good...or is it?...? when his daughter kills the bowl of petunias/fly/rabbit/ugly deformed bat thing when he is human....as he is coming out of a party...again god i love the whole series and yes douglas adams was a freakin genius...too bad he died :(

Have you read either of his Dirk Gentry books? I started too, but got distracted and never came back to them.....I plan to read them this winter.

OH i would almost say i enjoyed them more than the Hitchhiker series :D they are preaty awsome too, i heard he had a third one in the works when he died, so it was never completed
they start a little slower than the hitchhiker series but you have to pay attention to understand later....but in the hitchhiker series..."beware the jaguar" is still one of the funniest phrases used in that context ive ever read

Beware the Jaguar? don't remember that. Was that an inside joke from one series to another?
I have to read them again....I do reread books. I reread the Hitchhiker's Guide about 3 years ago, and then finally forced myself thru the 4th (took me 3 tries over about a decade and a half......actually was a good book, just did not fit, and took me longer to embrace it.....about 5 pages longer than I had ever gone before.....same thing happened to me with Tom Clancy's "Patriot Games", had tried to read it while in high school, then my freshman year or sophomore year in college, never getting past page 45, then a few years later I forced myself to try again, and by page 50 I could not put it down).

when the guy tells arthur he is going to knock his house down, and that the files were on record in the court house or whatever...in the basement...with no stairs or lights, in a disused lavatory, with a sign on it that said beware the...(oh wait it was leopard) leopard
which happened to be the display department
