It's actually called a Bat Bomb. They caught bats out of a cave in Texas and attatched 4 oz. napalm bombs to them. After they did that, they took them into a controled temperature room that was about 42 degrees so that the bats would go into hybernation. They would then get a small platform, with about 20 places to put bats in, attatch a string to the bomb on the bats so it could set of a timer on the bomb when they flew out. They would take about about 10 of the platforms and stack them on top of one another and place them in a bomb shell. They would place it on a plane, yadda yadda yadda, and drop the bomb over Japan. It would fall like any other bomb, except at 5000ft. it would deploy a parachue, the cap of the bomb would fall off thus separating the platforms from each other. They would fall one at a time, held by a string so they wouldn't separate from the bomb, and once they fell the bats would fall on the flat surface of the platform underneath them. The warm air would awaken the bats from hybernation, they would fly away disconnecting the string from the bomb and setting a 30 minute timer on it. The bats would then fly into the dark and cool spaces of the light bamboo and wood stuctures. The bomb would go off and start a massive fire. It had a sucsessful test, but then the program got terminated because they had a sucsessful test on the atom bomb. Oh and......I stumped Clarke!!!! WOOT!!!!! Joking dude, I really didn't expect anyone to get it, they tried to forget about it and then someone found out about it. I have massive knowlege of WW2, I almost think I could be a historian about it sometimes. But there are those things I still don't know about it. _________________

Thats impressive. I have a book you might like then, if you have not read it yet. One of my heroes as a kid, due to my love of the tv show "Black Sheep Squadron" was Pappy Boyington. My wife got me a book on his unit, VMF-214. I will have to dig out the name of the book, but it chronicled that squadron from 1938 to 1945. Fascinating stuff to me. I love stats, and it was full of them. Plus the stories/anecdotes were great. The history of the air war that I knew NOTHING about. Its a must read. And obviously, from the dates, it is mostly about the NON-Boyington era, since he was only there for about 6 months. Loved it.
If you have any more trivia, ask it. That was a good one. _________________

Oh, do you have any webpage links so I can read up more on the Bat Bomb. I'd like to understand it better. _________________

Here is an easy one......
Two teams have started a season (NFL) 6-0 and won neither their division or a wild card entry into the playoffs. Name them.
Queen, no guessing since I posted it recently elsewhere.
As usual, no Wiki allowed. _________________

Sorry, I did not see anybody respond to this before.....no, it was not the Colts and Patriots.
Let me give out a hint......one was in the 70s, and the other was in the 90s.....both times it was an NFC team that performed the ultimate choke. _________________

While you are pondering the above trivia question, for those non-sports fans out there, I have another one.....what is the shortest war in recorded history? _________________

The joke behind it is that the war of 1812 was in the year 1812!
The question being when was the war of 1812?
