I do love the sport awesome game, thanks for the tip, i can handle about 10hrs of soccer a day. Glad to talk to a college player about it though.

I dont just beat people in scrimages, I brutally pwn them till they cant handle it anymore, then I pass them to a friend who then gets sloppy seconds b/c thats the way he likes it. |

Has The Beckhams arrived over there yet?
As far as i am concerned, football (soccer) rules!
(but then i get to watch 22 grown (mostly) men running around geting hot and sweaty in tight shorts) :twisted: |

I like football too, Ana.....but I like AMERICAN football...NFL type.......
We can argue about it one of these days...lololol
Quarterbacks, Wide recievers....Tight ends....Running backs....and then Defensive players.......mmmmmmmmmmm......good stuff......
The TV is MINE on Sundays during the season...and on Monday nights as well.....lol

Good luck to you....the summer before my senior year I was playing about 6 hours a day, plus running 4 miles in the morning and 6 in the evening, and I couldn't get enough of it....once I was in college and the injuries happened, and other distractions, it was no longer fun for me. I hope you fair better. I went from being on the state team my junior year to being a bench warmer due to injuries, and it sucked the life out of it. Then in college, my freshman year, I got sick right before I got there, and when I came back and got healthy, midway thru the season, I finally got to start a game, next day at practice I fractured my shin. End of that season, and then the following season, a day before the first game, I hurt my good shoulder (the one that I did not have surgery on my senior year in high school), and I was done....mentally and physically. Played out the year, but then I was done. Oddly enough, I was able to play Rugby for Temple without problems. But a goalie that is oft injured is quick to be undone mentally, and I was.
So moral of the story....if you get injured get back in there as quick as possible before it gets to you....or something like that....or maybe its enjoy it as much as possible before its gone.....I miss the games, but now I have (almost) as much fun coaching my 5 year old and 6 year old....that is what it is about for me now.....but sometimes I wonder what if.
Good luck. I hope you knock 'em dead in college. It really is fun when things are going right....remember its a game and thats it. Its supposed to be fun. I didn't have fun until I stopped playing and jumped onto the field as a midfielder of all things for Temple Medical School (I was not in med school, but my roommate was and they needed players, so I was drafted...it was not NCAA, so it was cool). Thats when it was fun again.
Sorry about prattling on.....you will get this way too when you are old.

I am just getting warmed up....like I said, 7 of these lengths of posts before my first cup of coffee at the office is a slow morning......of course, that is when I am talking about football or baseball.....oh, and that is not counting the 10 to 20 posts per day (lately) on the CBS chat rooms about baseball, football or hockey.....basically, I like to talk sports while I am at the office.....if you don't see me online, it means I am stuck in a meeting.
