I and others have noticed lack of team work for those that gvg. Which in turn makes me unhappy (not good for you). I am open to suggestions on how to work on this.

Some Ideas I have and some I have used in the past:

1. Outlaw 1v1s, okay realize in this guild that is not a option. So next:

2. Force team work. In other words (as we did it in shiz for team try outs) you fight experienced pvpers. What we used to do (ubs and I) would be to basically play cat and mouse. Hurt em just enough to see reactions. See if monks healed team or selves. If 2 monks see if they worked together to heal and protect each other and team. If warriors called targets or spikes and which one that was... Basically are they working as a team... Then after feeling out strenghts and weekness we would go for the kill. This maybe hard to hold back the kill for some (Boo) but it also makes some realize that warriors should not overextend without alerting monks. Monks should be in backline not following front line into major danger. That everyone depends upon everyone else

Story: I have had a hard time learning to depend upon monks. Even in pve. If some of you notice I still have self heal on bar (for rangers sometimes this is because of ganks). After a very long time of mistrust and general let down I have learned the hard way to trust team. I started on a team as flag runner, which in itself is a basic solo thing but very important to team. So when I moved to back and mid line was very hard for me to get used to having someone there to heal me. Reason I am so hard to please with who plays monk, really no offense to anyone trying to do this it is me.
So to get me over my fear and get Shiz to form a team we would do THK as a group. Ubs and I monked and team mates did whatever, we would pick up locals that were stuck on mission and always finished it. At that time that was the hardest mission in game (we have been together awhile) and Ubs and I rocked as monks. But in order to finish that mission teamwork is manatory!! well was then.

Point: Anyone have ideas on how to encourage teamwork.... Maybe some difficult mission or area using no ursan or cons? Have people work out what team would work best.. if failed, reform and go again till we can do it asleep?

Give me thoughts please.

-Non Ursan Dungeons...
-Non Ursan FoW/UW... naughty naughty
For those stubbon people who think Ursan equals everything...think again. What do you think they did before EoTN came out? Hacked the game and made a SUPERcalifragilisticexpeolodocious awesome skill? I know Queen does a lot of Ursan FoW but, that is almost like Heroes Ascent saying you must be ranked. You could have r6 KoaBD title (35 Max Titles) and not have EoTN, you would be a very good player but you still wouldn't be let into groups. Kevin, I don't think he is Ursan and I know hes only r3 or r4 Norn Title, but he is the one of the best players I know but no, he can't get into a group because he's not an Ursan. Some groups i use to go with ran something like 2-3 melee, 1-2 rangers, 1-3 Elementalists, and 2 Monks. The only class I could play back then and really the only one still who can do FoW and/or UW with a team is my assassin. The farthest i ever made it was only to the forest, unfortunately. But that was not bad for my group who was not very experienced. I have a monk coming up, I just want to make him r2 survivor and then he can run in groups. He is a Healer's Boon Monk and also, I am new at Monk so I will need some time to get adjusted, maybe just going through the game would be the best thing to start out with (and i know it is). So here I will rap this up. The professions I can play; Assassin (which I am most experienced with), Ranger (quite experienced at that), Warrior (needs lot sof skills and runes though), and Monk(least experience but, I talked about him above). Please reply back. Feel free to say anything, I could care less about negative comments.

Ok. maybe you are r5 or so (what ever is required to get Norn armor)? Still to get in a FoW/UW group usually r9 Ursan is required, unless running with the Alliance. And let me rephrase what I wrote above. I don't care what you tell me. Kevin is the best player in the game.

Nothing in PvE requires even close to the amount of teamwork that PvP does. Period.

Wanna know why? Build against the environment and win in PvE, do that and get raped in PvP. Sure the environment influences skill decisions in PvP, but you don't build entirely for one objective. (As in PvE, where you build for insane armor/health, a shitton of midline AoE damage, and then a few monks thrown in to keep bad people who don't know how to mitigate damage from dieing.)

If you want to learn teamwork, go do RA at the very least. The whole "kill the monk" strategy is better than the "c+space then use your skill bar" strategy.

UBS Icon_big_hug

Yes the pve thing worked for Shiz but only because we were already a team. And that was before the hated 1v1 shiz came into play. Icon_angry Personally I hate ra because of the horrid groups I get that are basically trained 1v1. But have had a few great teams (12 flawless!!!). I was thinking about guildies learning or relearning to trust one another. In other words take the $%#@! self heal off bar and put in REZ!!! Unless you have been giving the order of ganking or flagging DONT. I know I have given some builds out with troll on it... but understand that I have also used those builds to gank and in some emergencies to flag. The ranger is sometimes ordered to remove gankers from base.

I have gotten the suggestion of doing more ha as a way to learn PVP teamwork. Ideas Ubs.

Oh and I will still say this.. this guild is not ready for spikes in gvg or splits. We cant even work as a team with 7 people so spliting that would mean wipe.

But thank you for the idea Nick. BTW I use Ursan alot in pve. Reason: makes stuff go faster when farming. I do and have done FOW ursan because it takes less time. I have also cleared and killed everything possible in FOW with heros and Ubs (with heros) on our dervishs. With no ursan. Not to mention made a "bp" team with heros and a friend and cleared UW. Getting groups??? Just get a friend and take heros. If you dont want to do the ursan thing. (rank 9 norn, working on r10) but also r4 hero (ha fame).
