It was a game that NEITHER team played well....but the Chiefs played better.
The Chiefs Defense right now is more of a force than you realize....coupled w/ the fact that the next time we meet will be IN December....IN Arrowhead. your chances of winning....ANY Division Rivals Chances of winning against the Chiefs at Arrowhead in December are NOT good....
this was written in 2005....
"To be sure, the Chiefs enjoy an advantage in noisy and perpetually sold-out Arrowhead Stadium at any time of year, come rain or come shine, in stifling heat or benumbing cold.
But they’re almost unbeatable in December.
Since 1995, the Chiefs are 18-1 at home in the year’s final month. They’re currently on a 16-0 December home streak, an especially comforting stat with Denver coming to town for a key showdown in the AFC playoff picture.
A 4:15 p.m. EST kickoff against the Broncos on Sunday will mark the beginning of a make-or-break five-game stretch for Kansas City against five winning teams. Three are at home against AFC opponents they’re fighting for a postseason berth.
But why the Chiefs become so all-powerful at home when Santa Claus starts showing up in the malls is a mystery even to them.
“The fans still come out in droves here, whereas they might not in other stadiums,” said defensive end Eric Hicks. “It’s still just as loud as it was in September. It gets cold here. We usually are able to run the ball and play some pretty good defense in the month of December.”
I believe after a loss to the Baltimore Ravens last year, that the record is now 19-2, but it is impressive, nonetheless....
and I quite frankly believe that the Chargers lost their chance to go 50/50 w/ the Chiefs this year. |
I have 1 thing to say about all that......GO TEMPLE OWLS!!!! 3 game winning streak, and a horrible call from the refs in Connecticutt that cost them the 4th win and a 500 record.....has anybody noticed that U Conn has had 2 wins given to them by poor refereeing (on the field and in the replay booth) at home....without them their record would be 4-3 right now. I smell a conspiracy. The Big East officials keep apologizing....how about reversing the calls and giving the games to whom they belong, Temple and Louisville? Both are possibly going to lose big time money as a result....Temple, who may be dangerously close to bowl eligible, but fall short because of that game, and Louisville who will have to settle for a lesser bowl as a result, and yet their record is no worse now, and would be better, than what U Conn has earned. Bullsh!t. I want an investigation.....and I am not kidding. _________________

OK...I'll bite. The Temple Owls have WHAT to do w/ the Chiefs?
Is this about that terrible call by the ref in the Chargers game? _________________

Nothing, absolutely nothing.....but I wanted to give my team props, and then it turned into a rant about the horrible officials that stole a game from them, then it turned into a rant about how the Big East has stolen 2 games from other teams and given them to U Conn.....and then it was a rant about bowl games and lost revenue, and unearned revenue, and then....and then......and then.....................................aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE REF BEATS HIS WIFE!!!! THE REF BEATS HIS WIFE!!!! THE REF BEATS HIS WIFE!!!!!
there's no place like home.....there's no place like home.....there's no place like home...... _________________

lololol......that you are......and on that note.........
I created a new GW's character yesterday........no one seems to "get" the name.......so, we, (Beryl and I), decided to ask you YOUR opinion......knowing, that....at the very least, it would be entertaining.
First.....the game has several types of characters.....
Warrior
Ranger
Elementalist
Mesmer
Necromancer
Monk
Ritualist
Assassin
Dervish
Paragon
I think I remembered them all.....
I deleted a Mesmer to create a new character.....and named her
The Celestial Queen
What type of char is she?
No one but me seems to "get" it.......as I have had many ask...... _________________
