Okay, I voted yes, but my idea of heavy rock may be different than yours.....I voted yes because of AC DC, (old) Van Halen, Black Sabbath, then early Ozzy days, and yes, even a little Pat Benatar. I have never heard of any of the bands that you listed.

As for what I listen to today.....a little of the above, as well as any old country (Patsy Cline is a fav), and many new Country (Leanne Rimes is another fav), classical (no favs....just enjoy anything heavy in strings), the Chad Mitchell Trio (that sh!t is so old Queen may not even remember it), Grateful Dead (saw them live too many times to remember.....actually, come to think of it, can't remember many of them.....), Crosby Stills Nash (great in concert), James Taylor......most of my likes are mello, but I like a lot of everything except just about any rap produced post 1989 (Emminem has some really good songs, and some really sick ones......I like the sick ones); I am not a big fan of R&B, but there are some out there that I like.

Eagles, awesome in concert.....REM, not bad in concert, not good, but not bad.....Kansas, very good in concert......Bon Jovi (embarrassed to say this, but in my defense, I was 17, my girlfriend really wanted to go....) pretty good in concert.

CSN, Grateful Dead, Lynard Skynard, Jerry Garcia Band, James Taylor, Philadelphia Orchestra, Aaron Neville, Zachary Richard (zaidecho music) and Oak Ridge Boys absolutely off the charts in concert.

Sting rocked the house (shocked the sh!t out of me....he opened for the Grateful Dead in DC back in 93, and I never liked him before that, but he was awesome!!!! And when he and Jerry were on stage together it was incredible.

Hooters, Night Ranger, Living Colour, and Dwight Yoakum Very Good!!!

Rolling Stones, don't care what you say, sucked in concert.

Who are the Damn Yankees?

Oh, and none of the bands you listed, with the exception of maybe the Doors, are classic rock. And the Doors are more of a psychodelic rock. Eagles are southern rock. Classic rock is Led Zeppelin, AC DC, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, then Ozzy......

Ah yeah acdc and ozzy are real good, some of the others you listed clarke are good. I dont listen to them much though.

Bowling for Soup live=Awesome! they were great.

Evanescence, Bowling for Soup, Haste the Day, 3 Days Grace, Avenged Sevenfold, Drowning Pool, Blink 182, Sum 41... More Bands i like

As for Rap/R&B- Eminem, 50 Cent, Timbaland, Rhiannan, Ciara, Missy Elliot, DMX, Busta Rhyme, anything with lots of bass.

BTW someone needs to shoot Solja Boy in the face for ruining music....

Eagles, fine.....REM, not bad .....Kansas, very, VERY GOOD...........Bon Jovi ...ok.
But this is not not the type of music that Zach had in mind when we were talking......

Which is why my vote remains NO!

Classic rock is from the late 60s into the 70s. Nothing done today, unless its from the Stones or the Who, or some other band from that era, is "classic rock". You cannot make an album today and call it classic. And bands like Rush and Eagles were never rock. They were their own style, but not rock in the genre of Led Zeppelin or the Who. And Police and REM were the next generation of music, not heavy metal, such as the likes of (older) Metallica.

Ok i like heavy metal but the kind i like is sometimes refered to as screamo. I am a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, Atreyu, Chiodos, Between the Buried and me, Dead to Fall, Thrice and a little more classic rock Velvet Revolver. So yeah but anyway you should all listen to chiodos the singer has an amazing voice.
