Well I was looking at some posts Dishin made, and the ones where he was joking around with illiteracy. So any thoughts on it...ill tell y'all during Dragon Fest there was a guy named Jummies and he was saying something like "IF YEW DONT TACK JESUS AND GOD YEW WIL HAV NOE PURPIS ON DIS EARTHE" interesting listening to what he said actually. But if anyone actually got the chance to see that at Dragon Fest post what you heard here! _________________

This is a pet peeve of mine, as one of you guys heard already from me....spelling mistakes happen, occasionally, however, in this day and age, with the technology we have, spell checks built into software, it is avoidable. I get a few resumes each week to review, and when I see spelling errors it tells me that the applicant has no pride in how he presents himself, and unless their credentials are off the charts, they don't ever see the inside of my office for that interview that they want. When you are presenting yourself in writing, in any forum, the only thing the reader has to judge you on are: 1) How you present your thoughts, and how you defend them.....the facts that back up your opinion; 2) Grammar; 3) Spelling......the reader does not have to agree with you, as long as you make your argument in a clear and concise manner that shows thought, and your grammar and spelling are part of that.
As for the guy you quoted there, I would suspect that he was a foreigner, most likely German, as it reminds me of some early letters I have read from family members (long gone) who fled to the U.S. from Austria back in the 30s, back when English was not second nature to them. I cannot imagine that anybody who has English as a first language would butcher it that poorly. _________________
